| This is an interactive, self-paced course that will refresh your knowledge of the basic ethical tenets proposed by the National Court Reporters Association. These are framework from which reporters can base their practice upon. This course focuses on three documents created by the National Court Reporters Association Committee on Professional Ethics: The Code of Professional Ethics, Public Advisory Opinions issued by The Committee on Professional Ethics, and The Guidelines for Professional Practice.
Ethics in Action is a narrated course with interactive questions , which will test how you might handle particular scenarios. This course also includes a short required reading list to complete. Total readings are approximately pages. Although these readings won't keep you on the edge of your seat, like the latest thriller on the bookshelf, these readings should be very informative and help guide you through some sticky situations that could arise in your working career.
